You simply multiply the stop number by the crop factor for the apparent depth of field in comparison to full frame. If you don’t need the most flexibility with depth of field or an extra stop or 2 of usable light before noise sets in, smaller sensors are just fine.

💥Thank you. This was quite well done. I just did an HDR merge of two images of the Cummins Falls in Tennessee USA. There is sky in only a small section of the top middle of the frame and you can see that if you Google the falls. My bright image captured the details in the shadows with the sky blown out and my stopped down image got a nice blue sky. When I merged the two together, the final image did not show the nice blue sky anymore, even after pulling down the highlights. Pulling them down too much lowered other areas of the image where I didn’t want to reduce the exposure. I went to the HSL and increased the saturation of blue but it made the water more blue also which I didn’t want. So I went to masking and selected “sky” and did what I could to adjust the sky but at no point did it make it the same nice blue that I originally had in my lower exposure frame. I don’t understand why the original merge lost that nice blue sky. Any idea what went wrong because I don’t think that Lightroom classic HDR is that great.

you just got a subscriber and a new coustumer to the shool photographer! i am enrolled in over 10 courses of photography and videography and i have sended out dozens of mails to these platforms and teachers and supportgroups with the very own ''qoute'' YOU GUYS HAVE ALL RECORDED COURSES AND TEACHINGS THAT ARE NEARING THEIR 10 YEAR EXISTING however you did not update any of your courses i always get the same ansewr: these do not need to be updated because the software workflow is the same..... MY ANSEWR IS TOTAL BS photoshop and lr and all the other new competetors are changing so rapidly that its impossible to compare the softwares from now to 10 years ago in my eyes its a toal misleading marketing scheme yes some things stay the same but there are 100times more faster and new components being introduced in that 10 years.... period and thank you for being the 1st and probably the only one i know who finaly has the B@Ls to say it and while saying it doing it for a free guide!!!!!!!

New to photography and new Subber 06-23-2024. I will try these settings the next time there is a full moon. I live in the mountains now in rural California, USA. I have always admired people who were passionate about photography. I want to learn the art of photography, so I can share photos with family, friends, and the world. I bought a Canon EOS 6 Mark II and I am having fun learning how to use it. I am very fond of photos of the moon with mountains or trees with it. I live in the mountains in an unincorporated area (new property) and would love to learn the proper Settings for everything living here both creatures big and small and landscape to take beautiful photos. I have much to explore now that we're out of the Silicon Valley, CA life is good. Thank you for making this video and sharing it with us. I appreciate you. Camera is only part of the equation. Yes, learn proper technique, it isnt that hard. Postprocessing is what separates the semi-clueless from those who mastered the whole cycle. Cameras come and go, glass remains. I've been shooting 40+ years. For Nikon, for example, anything after d70 will work just fine, unless you make prints few meters long.

I love this kind of photography.
